29Jun20 Beans on Toast for the win. Especially wit 29Jun20 Beans on Toast for the win. Especially with good English Red Leicester cheese and pork sausage. Very high protein and very yummy. There was a discussion about beans on toast in The Crew on Dark Horse Rowing as our trainer is from England and we were talking about high protein meals. It got me in the mood for it as I haven’t had it in ages. #latergram #2020pad #beansontoast #cookingforone #cooking #beans #toast #toastofinstagram #darkhorserowing #darkhorserowingcrew

16Jun20 One cherry pie and four chicken pies. Th 16Jun20 One cherry pie and four chicken pies. The chicken pies are great, but the cherry one made a real mess of my pie maker. I guess I’ll have to find an actual recipe. I used leftover pastry and just put a few Morello cherries in straight from the jar, sprinkled them with Natvia (stevia), put the top on and cooked it. The sauce (there was only a LITTLE bit, I swear) went everywhere. The pie was wonderful, but not the cleanup! #muchlatergram #2020pad #cookingforone #cooking #piemaker #makingitupasIgo #cherry #chicken
09May20 Pies! I made my first pies using a pie m 09May20 Pies! I made my first pies using a pie maker I ordered online. These are homemade chicken pot pies and so much better than the ones you buy in the store in the states. I have a whole list of things I’d like to try making but have limited myself to once a week so as not to go overboard with it and gain umpteen pounds / kilos. #2020pad #cookingforone #cooking #baking #pies #piemaker #chickenpotpies #yum
08May20 Fish on Friday, but my way. I know a lot 08May20 Fish on Friday, but my way. I know a lot of people have Fish ’n Chips on Friday but I was in the mood for something different. This is smoked salmon (just a single serving can) mixed with 50g of smoked trout from the freezer, some mayo, onion, capsicum (red bell pepper) and dill mixed up and served on toasted bagel halves. It was good. It needed a bit of something to pick up all the flavours though. Like maybe lemon. #2020pad #cookingforone #cooking #smokedsalmon #smokedsalmonbagel #smokedtrout #bagel
14May20 2nd batch of Mac & Cheese pies. This tim 14May20 2nd batch of Mac & Cheese pies. This time I packed the shells a bit tighter and two them were packed higher too. That made the tops lovely and brown too. 15 minutes, no peeking and and about 5 minutes cool down. Next time I’ll have more shredded cheese mixed into the ‘batter’. There will definitely be a next time - these are great. This batch will be tomorrow’s lunch. #cookingforone #cooking #piemaker #macandcheese
