Howdy

Howdy Y’all.  Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. I’ve been struggling with the arthritis and bursitis stuff and doing my best to keep up with other stuff.  Not much to report on the physical complaints aside from having my wicker rocking chair repaired was one of the best things I’ve done for myself – this chair really is the most comfortable for me, and when you combine it with a nice warm gel-pack for my back, it’s absolutely wonderful. So I spend a lot of time on the patio using my laptop instead of inside at my main computer because my rocker doesn’t fit my desk. Otherwise I sure would use it inside.

I’ve written a few blogs on Diabetes Daily if you’re interested. It’s a nice site and there’s certainly a lot of readers there – one of my little blog entries has had over a 100 visits. It’s nice to ‘be read’!  I was also asked to do a Guest Blog for a friend that will be published later this week. I was honoured to this, and will tell you all about it after she announces it.

Here’s a list of my Diabetes Daily blog entries:

Enjoying the Challenge
And Another Thing
Playing Footsie

None of these are earth shattering or anything, but I felt comfortable to write a few things so I did.

Be sure to also read my entry here on Sodium that I’ll be posting today as well.

19Jul20 Trying something different… I was thirsty, but I knew I needed extra sodium and some caffeine wouldn’t go astray either. So I mixed some strawberry cordial and sugar free Monster drink that’s kind of a lemony citrus flavour. It was good. And disappeared quickly! #2020pad #gymdaydrink
27July20 I made myself the cutest little ham. I took a photo of it to show how small it was (barely 1kg) and used a coffee cup (yes, my extra special Rowing mug) for size comparison. I still ended up with about 5 meals from this small ham. One the night I made it, some leftovers with baked beans the next day and a few packets of sliced ham steaks in the freezer for future meals. #rowing #darkhorserowing #cooking #cookingforone #ham #catch #drive #release #recover
26July20 I can’t wait to see these rose bushes flourishing again next year. They, along with almost all of the the trees in my back yard are being trimmed tomorrow. It’s a big job that hasn’t been done for a long long time. #cf20 #rose
02Jul20 Rainbow! I had to go do some paperwork things at the DMV (Service SA here) and on the way there was a very short-lived cloud burst of rain that hit just as I was going through a roundabout. It was a scary moment because I couldn’t pull over but also couldn’t see. Once I was parked and walking to the offices, I noticed this lovely rainbow. A little beauty on a grey day. #2020pad #rainbow #afterthecloudburst
05Jul20 Neurmal, my Gym Advisor, is a little miffed at my rowing without her attendance. I’ve found the blue chair gives me a really good place for my notebook so I can do the ‘row along’ videos easier than trying to squint at a phone or tablet. #rowing #darkhorserowing #homegymlife #keepmoving #2020pad#latergram #catsofinstagram
04Jul20 Erik gets a lift home. We had Lunch Group today and both Erik and Anne came. It was such a pleasure to see them again. #goodfriendsgoodtimes
