Today I've done some maintenance work on my personal site. I think it needs livening up a bit though. I like that it's easier to read, but it seems a bit plain at the same time. Hmm.

I didn't quite get as much done today as I would have liked, but I did manage to tidy up the patio a bit and Cow Kitty found a root stalk of a dead weed that she's been skittering about on the patio all night. The patio is kind of like a huge fooz-ball table for her.

I sent Rod for milk late this afternoon and he managed to arrive at the store near closing time -- just in time to snag prawns at half price. Wow, was a very nice tea, and dunno, but I swear stuff we've found on bargains always seem to taste that much nicer. We normally have sizzle steak on Saturdays in an effort to improve my iron count. The meat was already thawed so I decided to combine the two and made a delicious 'surf & turf' stir-fry. The sauce I made up using Kecap Manis (a sweet, syrup like Indonesian soy sauce) and sweet chilli sauce. The sweet soy sauce comes out quite slow so it was just a 'lashing' over the top, then the sweet chilli sauce. It was very very very yummy. I'll have to remember that combo for the future. I didn't have any rice or noodles as there was 1) plenty enough carbs in the sauce, and 2) we didn't need any additional filler. Unfortunately it was a very late tea tonight, but cooking tea actually only took under half an hour.

writing-sleepWell! I've achieved a new level of weirdness with dozing while writing my blog. This time I actually typed stuff that made absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever and have no recall of typing it. Here's a screenshot.... best viewed at original size. Click on the image, then select 'all sizes' and then tick 'Original size' to see the full screen view. You can then compare it with what I was intending to write, which is shown above.

I'll be printing this screenshot to take with me when I see the doctor at the sleep clinic this week.

Anyway, aparently it's time for me to be off to bed.

Cheers,
Gaelyne
