On 15 October 2000, we had a BBQ with a surprise wedding ceremony. Erik Rassmussen and Barry Gasson supplied us with photos from the day.

Rod thanked everyone for coming and said that originally we'd planned to have a birthday BBQ, but so many people were expecting us to get married that we didn't want to disappoint anyone, and introduced our marriage celebrant (Judith Ernst).

Ceremony. We are here today to celebrate the marriage of Rod and Gaelyne.

Today is the day when you are expressing to each other deep loyalty and loving trust as the basis of your marriage relationship.

This partnership is based on love, tolerance, understanding and truth. It is the sharing of life and all it's fortunes whilst understanding the needs of each other.

Rod and Gaelyne are here today as two people who have shared many wonderful years together. You are secure in the knowledge that you will face the days and years ahead with mutual respect and love.

Will you take Rod to be your lawfully wedded husband, lover, accomplice and true companion? I do!

You may now kiss the bride.
