Warner Brothers Theme park in Queensland, Australia. This area was the cutest water playground for kids. The water would spurt up at various intervals and the kids seemed to have a riot splashing in it. |

I noticed this shopping cart (we call them 'shopping trolleys' here in Oz) on my way home the other day, and now it's disappeared. I wonder if it returned to its home base or is off on another adventure.

This pic was taken below deck at the Oceanarium at Victor Harbor in South Australia.
There were several types of sharks plus other fish. Most of the fish are able to come and go as they please. This was my favourite photo out of our visit. |

| My New Desk |

We always knew the desk I had was a temporary thing until I found a desk I like that was in our price range. A couple weeks ago while out on my walk, I wandered into Target and this desk was on display. I walked up to it and it had everything I wanted in a desk, and more. So the next day I took Rod to show it him and we discovered it was on sale at $100 off. They had one flat-pack left, so we bought it. At the time, we didn't realise how heavy the flat-pack was --- 65 kilos. That's 143 pounds! Rod says most of the weight was screws. There were over two dozen packets of screws for various purposes. It took 2 days for him to assemble it for me.
The purple drawers were a set of cheap plastic drawers I'd bought sometime ago. I was thrilled they fit in the cubby hole though. One of the best things is that I can finally have all my reference books near my computer again. I can look things up online, but sometimes a nice browse through the thesaurus or dictionary can be a rewarding experience (yeah, I know, I'm weird).
My two webcams show in this photos (just follow the cords). Also, the backing inside the bookcase and behind the monitor area was the same green colour as the drawers and keyboard drawer, but Rod used up what was left of my purple spray paint to give it a bit of an artistic look. At the top, it blends in with my neon light photo ... almost like a bit of a 'smudge' effect. This wasn't planned, it just happened.

I really had to go dig for this picture. I don't wear much in the way of jewelry, and have never ever owned a diamond ring.
However, I was once asked to sell a ring for someone else on eBay, and I just happened to still have my eBay photos. PHEW.

Trevor the Indian and modern times Canadian soldier.
This was at an event in Canada that I was privleged to be a part of as my daughter was in a Drum and Fife Corps that was participating, and she asked if I could along on the weekend. I loved the mix of seeing historical armies of various timeframes together. It was rather eclectric.
