The idea is to keep the glucose levels between 3.5 mmol (63 mg/dl) and 7.7 mmol (140 mg/dl). Anything above 7.7 / 140 is considered 'high'. As you'll see, I'm still working on my diet and lifestyle to improve my results.
| Time | Excellent | Good | Fair | Poor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Before Meal | 3.3 - 5.5 | 5.5 - 7.7 | 7.7 - 10 | over 10 |
| After Meal | 6.1 - 7.7 | 7.7 - 10 | 10 - 12.2 | over 12.2 |
NOTES: Anywhere you see 2 numbers together such as '7.7 / 140', the first number represents the reading or average in mmol, the second represents the same in mg/dl format. I have set up this way so that it uses both the Australian format and the format that is used in the USA as I want for friends and family to have an idea of where I'm at in whatever format they are used to for their own glucose levels. Also 'Tea' as an event, referrs to dinner, or the USA 'supper' meal.
