I started back with taking photos for ‘each’ day again on Australia day. This time however, it’s ‘Mostly 365′ as I am not up to the ‘stress’ of trying to not miss a day. Thanksgiving Dinner

We had a wee turkey thigh roast. We love these because they’re always very tender and really tasty. The orange stuff in front is butternut squash which I love. It was what was left over from making pumpkin ‘pie’ which is in the square dish in the background. I discovered too late that I didn’t have any aluminum pie pans so I made do – and made it deep dish. Considering it’s low-calorie, it’s not a big deal anyway. In the green/blue bowl is a small amount of stuffing I made up. It was OK but better with gravy on it. Not shown are mashed potatoes and instant microwave gravy. Also in the pic is the cranberry sauce I had to pick up this morning. If I’d known about the pie tins then I could have picked them up too, but alas!

We haven’t yet had the pie. We’re too full from a very nice dinner.

Schnitzel Dinner

Today is Wednesday which happens to be Schnitzel day at the Emu so since Subway decided as of yesterday to no longer have half price happy hour, we took our business to the Emu. Was a lovely meal and best of all, no dishes to wash!

MMMM Ice Cream

This is low fat chocolate yogurt ice cream with some chocolate crackle sauce and whipped cream. It was so hot that I wanted some ice cream. This has been in the freezer for awhile (I made it last May) but this was the first we’ve tried it. It turned out great!
