Keep the moaning to a minimum

Today I wanted to share something that happened when I was waking up this morning.
First of all I should mention that I am starting to be back on the mend with the sciatica and bursitis nonsense I've been dealing with since last August. I'm trying hard not to over-do however as it just takes way too long to recover all over again. So I've been steadily adding more to my day physically but at the same time keeping the reigns in. I know my limits.  read more »

Today is D-blog Day 2009

I had great plans to think of a suitable Diabetes related topic to cover for D-Blog day, but unfortunately the day crept up too quickly for me.  Currently Adelaide, Sth Australia is in the midst of a very rare November heatwave of which this is day #2.  Apparently there's no relief in sight until maybe Sunday when the temp will dip to 29c (84f). Earlier this week, my Freestyle Mini meter started behaving strangely. I often keep it on my coffee table out on the patio as that's where I tend to use it the most, but I'd noticed that if the temperature got below 18c (64.5f), the battery indicator would start to show. According to the manual, once you start seeing the battery indicator on every screen, you had enough battery life for approximately 25 more tests. It didn't show on every screen though. It only showed when the outside temperature was at a certain range. It did give me a clue that it'd need new batteries soon though.  read more »
